Losing one loved one is tragedy enough. But losing two, within two days of each other, is enough to make anyone wonder how they will move forward.
On July 8, 2016, our family's life was turned upside down. In a completely unexpected turn of events, my nephew, Ethan Allen Taylor, lost his life in an accident on his farm. Two days later on July 10, tragedy struck again when my brother-in-law, Jeff, died in his sleep. He couldn't bear being away from his son, and now the two of them are running around in heaven, managing the cattle and driving around in Ford trucks together.
We take heart in the words of Psalm 30:5b, which says, "weeping may last for the night, but joy comes in the morning."
Over 4,000 people attended the visitations and funeral for these two men. If that doesn't speak to the love that these two had for everyone they met, I don't know what will.
In the span of two days, Cindy Taylor lost her son and husband, a pain no one should have to bear. She, her daughter Macy, and daughter-in-law Lynley are going to be moving forward without the help of the two men who meant the most in their lives.
That "Linton holler" won't ever be the same again...
Jeff Taylor was a hardworking man and a good father, but as this family found out all too soon, funerals do not run cheap.
A similar campaign for Lynley and Hidden Hollow Farms has done well, and we don't want to detract from that campaign either. Please, if you feel led, donate to that fund. Ethan & Lynley Taylor Funeral/Farm
However, it would mean the world if you would consider donating to this fund for Cindy to help better manage the funeral expenses for Jeff.
Prayers and love are the most important thing you can send the way of the family right now. No donation will fill the hole left by the absence of Ethan and Jeff, but any help will go towards easing the confusion and anxiety brought about by the financial cost left by these losses.
"There is no way you can ever fully express the pain of losing a loved one.
There is no way you can make others understand the pain you have endured.
All you can do is deal with things the best you can and hope that those who are close to you, your friends and family, will care enough to support you through the toughest time in your life, for it is during these dark times in your life that the ones who truly care for you will step up to the mark." -Dave Hedges
