Wounded Vet Motorcycle Fund

My hope is that we can bless this man with what could be one of the greatest surpises of his life.

Jeffrey Story Sheppard is a beloved son, father, brother, husband, friend and military veteran.  I get the honor of calling Jeff my brother-in-law.

The reason that I am raising this money is to bless Jeff for his sacrifice to our country.  Jeff served our country in the Army as a Calvary Scout for 6 years and nearly lost his life on his second deployment.  Jeff first served a tour in Iraq and later in Afghanistan where he was wounded in battle.

This link gives an account of that fatefull firefight:

The following is a video of the firefight.  You can hear Jeff's voice call for a medic after a Taliban RPG (Rocket Propelled Grenade) struck the room he and 3 others were in.  There are no graphic images, but fair warning there is explicit language.

From this, Jeff received a Purple Heart. The Purple Heart is a United States military decoration awarded in the name of the President to those wounded while serving.

So often, the wounds sustained on the battlefield don't stay on the battlefield or in the hosptial room.  Like many veterans, Jeff wrestles with the aftermath of what he went through.  When a person undergos the trauma of war they also undergo the realities of anxiety, stress, and panic that many soldiers face post-battlefield. Jeff has soldiered through counseling and medical assistance in battling with this.  But his favorite go-to counselor was a motorcycle. Jeff used to take his motorcycle out into the open air to clear his mind, put miles behind him, and peace within him.

Jeff loves Harley Davidson Motorcycles. Jeff has been married to his high school sweetheart, my little sister (Camber), for almost 9 years. Jeff owned his first Harley at the beginning of their marriage but had to sell it due to financial reasons.  After a few years he purchased another one but again as a sacrifice for his family, he sold that one too.

The one thing that could bless Jeff the most would be a new Harley Davidson Fat Boy Motorcycle.
I feel in my Spirit the Lord has told me that 49 days will be the length of time it will take to raise the funds.  Which just so happens to fall on Jeff and Camber's Anniversay and Labor Day weekend.  How awesome would it be to surpise him on that special day!

I am so incredibly thankful you even read this. The first thing I ask you to do is pray for this man and his family. Second, please keep this secret from Jeff.  His wife Camber knows, but he has no clue about this. Then, if you feel led to, to help us make this dream a possiblity.  Thank you and God bless.
