Jeff's vet bill ☹️

We've had our cat 7 months now since he was a kitten at 8 weeks he's now 9 months old. Had him booked into be neutered on monday just gone 14/7. My neighbour booked him in to be neutered in his name as he was going to pay for it as he plays in his garden. (My neighbour has a garden full of feral cats) this is my cat My baby and our family baby. Anyway the day before he was booked in he's fallen 20 foot out of my neighbours tree chasing a bird. He was in a lot of pain and we tried to get him and bring him in but he ran off screaming in pain. Luckily albeit after 14 hours we found him under some brambles hiding and in a lot of pain. I've managed to get him home. I took him to vets for pets pudsey and scraped enough together to get a consultation and some pain relief. I then got quoted 1059£ going forward for xray etc which I couldn't afford. The vet told me to go to pdsa so I registered with pdsa all good to be told next day I had to prove he was mine or they wouldn't see him☹️ next day i got him microchipped and he's in my name but pdsa won't see him still. I took him bk to vets for advice and they were really good and said pdsa have a duty of care they should see him but they won't as they say I had to prove he was mine before the accident happened. Poor thing can't walk is so depressed and making me physical sick that I can't do anything I just want an xray really to see how bad it is as it's 4 days now and he's still in agony it's brutal. I've rang pdsa many times I've tried everything. If anyone has any other advice I'd be grateful.
