Jeff’s unexpected medical bills

Donation protected
My name is Andrea Oppel. As many of you know my fiancé is Jeff Larson. On 6.25.24 Jeff went into urgent care because he had been super sick. Sweats, chills, throwing up, bad leg pain. They found he had an infection, and sent him home with antibiotics. 6.27.24 he went back into urgent care with the same symptoms but worse. They decided to do a CT scan and it showed the infection was really deep, and he needed emergency surgery. He was then brought by ambulance to Duluth. They did surgery early Friday. Saturday they took his blood and his white blood cell count was super high still. This morning they took his blood, and his white blood cell count was the highest it’s been since getting to the hospital on Thursday. They ordered another CT scan and it showed the infection spread to part of his hip, and tailbone. Monday morning (tomorrow) he will have another surgery. We’re hopeful he can come home within the next 3-4 days. Unfortunately, Jeff has already been out of work for the past 6 months, due to tendinitis, and nerve issues. He recently had surgery on his elbow, and was hoping to be cleared to go back to work. But now this happened. Jeff does not have health insurance, and this is going to be very hard on us. I will update once I know more. This is to help with any bills that will not be covered, and to help Jeff with whatever he’ll need. Thank you. UPDATE: Jeff is still going to Doctor appointments for this, and the medical bills are flooding in. We are at almost $30,000 in medical bills. He can get some help but it will not pay for it all. Thank you to all who have donated so far.
