Jeff's family while batteling a foot infection
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Mandy and I am writing this on behalf of my wonderful brother Jeff Warren and his family. Jeff has dealt with diabetes for years and for the most part been able to keep in under control. He developed an infection in his knee after having surgery and his leg and foot have not been the same since. His foot has been infected on and off for several years now, he would get it healed up the best his body could and it would be no time until the infection was back again. On September 1st he was admitted at St Charles in Bend because the infection had got a lot worse. He spent the next two weeks undergoing multiple surgeries trying to remove the infection and at one point he was told that they were going to have to remove his toes and possibly his foot. Jeff wasn’t ready to accept that and give up. In order to get all the infection the last surgery required that the remove a large part of Jeff’s foot on the bottom and top. He is now at home fighting to keep his foot free from infection by extreme care and a wound vac 24/7. Once he is healed to a certain point he will have to under go several more surgeries. All of this has put a huge strain on Jeff’s family financially. Jeff has worked for the last two years in constant pain from this foot in order to support his family. He would never ask for help from anyone. His wife Joanne has started working as much as she can while still providing around the clock medical care for Jeff and also care for their four children. Jeff was notified a couple days ago that he had ran out of PTO and would be terminated from his job on 12/06, this also terminates his disability pay he was getting through the employer. It will be a year before he is able to return to work so he is going to apply for disability, that process can take months to go through. Please help Jeff and his family get through these next couple months. Jeff would literally give anyone the shirt off his back and I’m hoping that we can show him the support and love he shows so many. Thank you so much!!
