On November 11, 2025, our family’s world changed when my dad was diagnosed with muscle invasive bladder cancer after experiencing gross hematuria. Since that day, everything in his life has changed. What once felt ordinary has been replaced by a daily commitment to healing, fighting cancer, and doing everything he can to support his body, mind, and spirit.
If you know my dad, you know his faith is at the center of who he is. He would want anyone reading this to know that Jesus is his Lord and Savior, and that he truly believes all things are possible through Him. That faith has carried him through every step of this journey so far.
My dad is retired and a loving father to me and my brother, Jeffrey. He is also a proud grandfather to my son, Finn. He has loving friends and family around him, and his partner, Alysha, has been a bright source of love and encouragement during this time. Even in the middle of something so heavy, he continues to find joy in small, meaningful moments - a smile from Alysha, a photo of Finn, singing while exercising on his rebounder (mini trampoline), fresh-made carrot juice, and watching his garden grow.
Right now, my dad is fully focused on healing. He is not working and is doing everything he can to avoid stress and give his body the best possible chance to recover. He has committed to a strict holistic healing protocol that includes a diet of fruits and raw vegetables, with no dairy and no animal protein. His treatment path is expected to be a two-year journey.
One of the hardest parts of this has been the reality that even when you are surrounded by people who love you, cancer can still feel deeply lonely. Every morning, my dad wakes up knowing he has another day of choosing positivity, protecting his mental wellbeing, caring for his body, and placing his faith in the One who holds it all in the palm of His hand. Healing has become his full-time job.
The biggest financial burden right now is the cost of the food and supplements that are central to his healing process. Financial support would also help him take the next step in his healing protocol through a program called Be Resilient - a three-phase process that includes lab work and evaluation based on his biochemistry, tailored supplements, nutrition and strategy, and personal coaching and accountability. The cost of this program is $13,997.
We are raising funds because the sooner my dad can begin this next phase, the sooner he can move forward with more personalized support and, we hope, begin to see meaningful improvement. Getting these costs covered would relieve a major burden and allow him to focus fully on healing instead of worrying about how to make this next step possible.
If you feel led to support my dad financially, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If giving is not possible, your prayers, encouragement, love, positive thoughts, and sharing this page mean just as much to us.
My dad put it beautifully: we have all traveled many roads together, through joy and sadness, and this is the road he is walking now. We would be so grateful to have you walk it with us in whatever capacity you can.
We’ll be glad to share updates along the way and keep everyone informed of his progress.
Thank you for surrounding my dad with love, faith, and support.
With gratitude,
Jenna
