Hi my name is Tammy Fike and I am Jeffrey's mom as most of you know last Tuesday March 15th Jeffrey had a bad asthma attack in which put him in to cardiac arrest they worked on him for 45 minutes since then he has been heavily sedated he is on a ventilator and he has gone thru multiple test in which he is still going thru everyday then they try to lower the sedation then he fights against the vent so they up his sedation again and this has been on going since Wednesday they performed a MRI on his brain and it showed damage from not having the right amount of oxygen to the brain so we don't know what his functions are or will be so the Dr's and team are gonna be talking and putting a trach in with him still being on the vent just so that its not in his mouth cause he bites it which are all good signs and then putting in a gt tube for nourishment then taking him off the sedation and see what functions he still maintains with the damage to his brain then after this he will have to go to a facility to go thru rehabilitation whether it be walking talking eating speaking and hopefully at one point be off the vent and tube feeding depending on how well he functions his labs and organs all are looking good and getting back to their normal levels so the goal is I eventually want to bring him home with me to take care of him with the help of my husband Todd and Jeffreys Dad and Tiana his sister once I would be set up and do what I have to do in order for him to have the best quality of life that he can and the Dr's say there is that chance in the meantime he has his apartment in which I still have to pay what bills would be left I will be letting that go and bringing his stuff with me so there will be cost of the moving and then all the medical bills that are accumulating with being in ICU and also any medical equipment that will be needed for him thru his rehabilitation and for when he would come home for me to take care of Jeffrey has a very very long road ahead of him as long as he pulls thru this because in his situation it can change very quickly I just want to get Jeffrey at least close to where he was if not better and everyone knows that boy is my heart he is a son ,a father ,a best friend ,a uncle ,a brother he is so full of life and with him being young he can still have his full life ahead of him he has such a big heart and such a contagious smile he is always the life of the party so if his friends and family could help and donate with any amount that would be great to help him get thru this tragic incident and help Jeffrey in his recovery it would be so greatly appreciated and if everyone can share this would be great I will keep everybody posted with updates Thank you all for your LOVE AND SUPPORT ❤
