Jeff Reilly home brewer award fund

Jeff Reilly was a  generous friend, a loving father and great husband and most of all a passionate and accomplished home brewer.  He was perhaps the best home brewer in Houston area and winner of numerous local and National awards, enough to fill a wall. Jeff passed away on May 15th, 2018 unexpectedly, while off shore  in Angola doing his work.  He leaves behind his wife and two daughters.

To know Jeff Reilly was to know the spirit of home brewing; to know about this hobby, to give back. He was all about generosity. He didn’t care if you made good beer, bad beer; he was so happy to have you pick up the hobby.  Jeff was willing to teach anybody, who was willing to learn the art of home brewing and do the work.  He was happy to share all of his knowledge; there were no secrets. He mentored many young brewers who were enamored by his generosity and knowledge.

Jeff was also a Petroleum engineer and a Surveyor and Director and Survey specialist for Offshore Analysis & Research Solutions, He was well known in the HPI industry with lots of friends everywhere he went. He was just a tremendous person who touched everyone's life with his gregarious personality.

The celebration of Jeff's life is this Friday. In lieu of flowers, Susan has requested that you please donate to this cause. In honor of Jeff's memory, we would like to start a fund towards an award for an accomplished home brewer. Details of the award  are being worked out by his favorite "Foam Rangers" with consultation with his wife Susan.
