Have a Heart? We'll Match It!

John Wiese opened the doors on a Tuesday morning in 1975, and Jeff Meier started on Thursday. The rest is history! One customer perhaps said it best . . . “Jeff Meier is the best thing that ever happened to John Wiese Ford”. Given his dedication, that may be a difficult point to argue. Jeff has served so many friends and customers in his 44+ years (and counting), it’s no wonder people ask for him personally to assist them with their vehicle repair and maintenance needs. He has the experience, he has the relationships, he has the work ethic, and he has always had the heart to get the job done.
As many of you may know, over the last year or so, Jeff has been in and out of work battling health concerns. Although a bit bumpy at times, the rest of our service team huddled around the workload well to fill in for him. Of course, that was not an easy task, as they had some pretty big shoes to fill. Thank you all for your patience, consideration, and understanding through this time.
Today we know Jeff has been diagnosed with end stage congestive heart failure, and understands his best option is a heart transplant. He needs prayers, he needs encouragement, and he needs support on his road ahead. While an announcement like this is not something we would normally publish in our day-to-day business, for Jeff and his family, we are making an exception. He is part of our family, and we feel his friends and customers over these many years would want to know directly.
This news will require Jeff and his wife, Cindy, to be out of work for an extended period, creating an immense financial burden on their family. A ‘Go Fund Me’ effort has been set up by Jeff’s closest friends and family. For this cause, John Wiese Ford will match all monetary donations to the ‘Jeff Meier Benefit’ up to $5,000 between now and December 31, 2019. Every little bit helps. Thank you for thinking of Jeff on his road ahead and thank you for your consideration in joining us with your love and support.
