On March 20th Jeff Keller passed away unexpectedly at the age of 48.
Just a week before he was happy and healthy. When I got the message from a mutual friend I couldn't believe he was gone. Jeff and I met in 1985 and became fast friends. He was a drummer and I was a bass player. We played together in High School Band and many times after graduation. At practice, shows, and band trips we were inseparable. Jeff was a wickedly talented drummer but incredibly humble. We both ended up attending Rutgers University and saw each other at school often. Jeff was kind, generous, and funny. He was always great to be around. Like our mutual friend, Brian Sawyer said, "Life interrupts and you always think there will be more time." Though we spoke on the phone, text, and through Facebook, it had been years since we last got together. So many times we made plans that never worked out.
I have so many amazing memories of Jeff. I still can't believe he is no longer with us. I will miss him for the rest of my time here.
Most importantly Jeff leaves behind a beautiful Family. His wife, Michele McCloskey-Keller and four children, Chloe, Madeline, Jackson, and Allyson.
This campaign is to raise money for his family. I'm hoping we can raise enough money to add to the kid's education fund and for the everyday living expenses of raising four children. No one expected this and now the family needs our help.
If you knew Jeff you loved him. That's just the way it was. I have never heard anyone say a bad word about him. He truly was one of the finest people I have ever known.
All money from the campaign will go directly to his wife, Michele.
Please give anything you can. No amount is too small. Everything is appreciated. I know Jeff would have done this for any of us.
