Jeffery Keenan

This fundraiser has been started to help this young man and his family during a very difficult and emotional time.  In September of 2014, Jeffery, a senior in high school, was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma (brain tumor) at the age of 18.  Jeffery was treated with chemotherapy and radiation but relapsed in 2016 with 3 brain tumors. He was treated with radiation and chemotherapy for 2 more years but in 2018 they found 5 tumors and he was put in three different clinical trials but they were unsuccessful.  In February of 2019 Jeffery and his mother were told there was nothing else they could do and has now been sent home in hospice care.  Jeffery is now 23 years old and lives with and is cared for by his mom, Tammy, a single parent of two boys, Jeffery and Jakobe (17 years old). Jakobe has been double diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and Autism.  He is nonverbal and completely dependent upon Tammy and Jeffery.  Over the past 5 years Tammy has spent her time taking care of her boys and working but in the last several months she has been unable to work as both of her boys are now completely dependent on her.  I have had the pleasure of spending time and talking with Tammy over the last few months and as a mother myself I can only imagine how she is feeling. On Tuesday of this week the social worker from hospice care told Tammy she needs to start making Jefferys funeral arrangements and getting their affairs in order, words no mother ever wants to hear.  Tammy is now trying to find a way to pay for a funeral for her 23 year old Son.  Funerals on average cost $10,000-$15,000.  If anyone would like to help this Mom bare the burden of these funeral expenses we would greatly appreciate it, but most importantly please pray for this family.
