Dear Jefferson RISE Community,

It is with profound sadness that I share heartbreaking news about one of our beloved students. Over the summer break, we tragically lost Dyquell "Quell" Gross, a cherished member of our high school class, in a sudden and unforeseen accident.

Dyquell was a bright light in our school—kind, joyful, and deeply loved by his basketball teammates, peers, and staff alike. This loss is felt deeply across our entire community, and our hearts go out to the Gross family as they face unimaginable grief.

Many of you have reached out asking how you can help. We created this GoFundMe with the permission of Dyquell's mom to support the family during this incredibly difficult time, helping to ease financial burdens related to funeral costs and other unexpected expenses. Any donations above our goal will go towards honoring Dyquell's memory on our Jefferson RISE basketball court, one of his favorite places.
