Jefferey Purdon - It’s hard to be humble
Donation protected
We are reaching out on behalf of Jefferey Purdon from Edmonton Alberta. Jeff, along with his partner Lorie, have endured a long struggle since September 13, 2024, when Jeff was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident that happened 30 minutes outside of Ft. McMurray.
After hitting lumber that fell off a truck in front of him, he crashed and was run over by another vehicle. He was rushed to Ft. McMurray for immediate surgery and then to Edmonton for several other surgeries.
He sustained a crushed left leg, broken right foot, two broken ribs, pelvic fracture (front and back), pubic bone fracture, collapsed lung, fractured sacrum and five vertebrae.
To date, Jeff has had four surgeries and skin grafting. Complicating things further, he has contracted MRSA (not responding to traditional treatments) from his leg surgery and is suffering with CRPS, which is a rare nerve disorder that lasts a lifetime.
Jeff has been in the hospital and rehabilitation center since his accident with the exception of receiving home treatment for a few weeks before his most recent surgery. Additional surgeries will need to be scheduled.
We need your support. Jeff has fought hard. He will not be able to go home any time soon, let alone go to work. His family has been by his side and have done everything they can to help him.
Any donations will be gratefully appreciated to help Jeff and his family as treatment and monthly life expenses continue to accrue.
A special thank you to Jeff’s buddies; Clayton and Wade for their encouragement and endless support.
