The people of Jefferson County count on each other. Our love is stronger than the systems that fail to support us. Jeffco Mutual Aid is focused on one thing: giving money to JeffCo people who need it. Mutual aid is not charity. We understand that you may be a recipient now and a donor later. JeffCo Mutual Aid is all about redistributing resources where it's needed most.
This fund started after covid-19. A lot of folks in our community lost work and their livelihoods. But we know that the pandemic's disparities have roots in oppressive and racist systems that long predate this crisis. Mutual aid resists these systems. 10% of all future donations to JeffCo Mutual Aid will be provided to Jefferson County Anti-Racist Fund. https://www.jcarf.org/
HOW FUNDS ARE USED:
Funds are used to support JeffCo folks who need it. People requesting funds submit a need to the JeffCo Mutual Aid Request Form. We provide funds to people on a first come, first serve basis.
JeffCo Mutual Aid funds are withdrawn to an account administered by Hannah Burn, the organizer of this campaign. Hannah distributes 10% of funds to Jefferson County Anti-Racist fund on a monthly basis and all remaining funds to people who have submitted need requests. If you have any questions about this process, we are happy to chat – reach us at: [email redacted].
WHO WE ARE:
