After a 7 year absence from the studio, critically acclaimed vocalist JEFF BAKER will be headed in to work on a new project in 2016! Easily his most ambitious recording yet, PHRASES will be a musical collaboration with some of Bakers closet friends, and musicians he's admired for years! The album will feature 8 original songs by Baker, inspired by some of the greatest authors, poets and writers of our lifetime! As well as music, and original arrangements! Joining Baker as musical director & Co-producer, is acclaimed pianist and composer, Darrell Grant! Additionally, PHRASES will include Bakers long time friends, bassist Clark Sommers & saxophonist Geof Bradfield, as well as some of the most influential and compelling jazz musicians in the world today, Brian Blade, Steve Wilson, and 2015 Thelonius Monk Competition Winner, trumpeter Marquis Hill!

Family, friends and fans can support the upcoming release of the recording by purchasing advanced copies of the album, and advanced concert tickets. A $25 donation gets you an autographed CD, and a ticket to an album release event in Portland, OR or Boise, ID.
