Jeff Young Memorial Fund

Though I'm not able to sum this man up in a few small paragraphs, I will try. As of Friday, August 21st, our entire family has suffered from a loss of which we will never recover. Jeff Young was one of the most warm-hearted people to ever exist. He forged a special bond with each person he met. There is a huge space in our hearts where his feet used to shuffle. Recognizing the look of devastation on our family and friend's faces I find myself wondering how he found the time to create so many happy memories with everyone from his youngest nieces and nephews to his father and mother-in-law. No matter what you were going through J.D. always had a listening ear and a light-hearted story to go along with it.  J.D. was a genuinely good person. He was easily the kindest person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. No matter what you needed he would smirk and say, "I don't know what I'm doing, but I'm willing to help!" He was a loving husband and father, who took pride in his job as their provider. Being that he was the main provider, his family is now facing many unexpected financial obstacles ahead. He was only forty-years-old, and this is something that none of us have anticipated and his wife and young daughter are struggling to meet the demands of his final expenses.  When I look around his home all I see is a life filled with love that was very much still being lived. An avocado pit beginning to sprout, a pantry full of ingredients for him to prepare his family's next meal, and above all else, a wife and daughter with no one to give their love to. There are now multiple families with a new understanding of heartbreak.
