Hi Friends,
If any of you knew or even HEARD of Jeff Young, then you know that he was an incredibly special person who had a HUGE impact on his friends, family and much of San Diego County. Jeff battled muscular distrophy for over 40 years and on Wednesday (his 38 year sobriety birthday) he passed away. You will be happy to know that he spent his last days laughing, joking and poking fun of anyone who entered the room. And there was a mass of people who came by to thank him for all that he did for others. Until the day he died, Jeff didnt miss an opportunity to be of service and help anyone reaching out for support.
Jeff was also the first to point out the hero behind the hero...his wife Bevy. Without Bev, Jeff could not perform most daily functions, nor could he have helped so many people. She silently and humbly tended to every need, ailment, and discomfort. If you know Bev, then you know she is a true angel.
And now, with his passing I ask that all of those who have been touched by Jeff and Bev's selflessness can gather together (like we do) and help contribute to the final expenses and give Bev a little cushion to lean on while she mourns her husband.
Thank you to ALL who help and we hope to see you at the service with your stories of an amazing life lived. I will keep you posted on when that will be.
