In memory of Jeff 1986-2026

It is with great sadness that I share that Jeff passed away this week. I started this fundraiser after he reached out during an incredibly difficult time following his accident. I’m heartbroken that his life has ended, and I’m still trying to process the news.

Thank you to everyone who showed him kindness when he needed it through your donations, messages, and shares. The compassion you offered was real, and I know it mattered.

A message from Jeff:

2024 was a horrific year, and the nightmare has continued into 2025. For over a month and a half, I’ve been suffering from severe abdominal cramping, shooting pains, and debilitating back pain. After being dismissed by the ER on January 3rd, I returned days later, where tests revealed that my intestines have narrowed at a surgical connection point, causing a massive obstruction and a dangerous leak into my body. This has led to sepsis and a MRSA infection, leaving me quarantined in the hospital, waiting for surgeons to decide on the next steps, including another colostomy.

While I’m trying to focus on recovery, my regular living expenses—like rent, utilities, and basic necessities—are piling up. Being stuck in the hospital and unable to work has made it impossible to manage these costs. This is why I’ve had to increase the fundraising goal. Your support will help ensure I can cover rent and keep a roof over my head while I focus on surviving and healing. Thank you for standing by me through this unimaginable time.
