Greetings All,

We hope this message finds you and yours in good health and spirits. We are contacting you with a “BIG” ask. On behalf of our classmate Jeff Wilson, we would like to share his story and ask for your assistance anyway you see fit.

As some of you may know but most probably do not, Jeff was diagnosed this past November with Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Large B Cell (Brain Cancer). In true Jeff Wilson fashion, he and his newlywed wife Lisa have tried to deal with this privately and quietly as he has endured a series of six rounds of chemotherapy these past three months. Jeff is not working, and Lisa is caring full-time for an elderly parent…. who are we kidding…. we all know she is caring for Jeff too.

Jeff’s prognosis is good. His cancer is treatable. Upon the recent completion of his chemotherapy, he is to undergo an auto stem cell transplant procedure, which will have him hospitalized for at least three weeks. This is scheduled to happen in the next few days.

Because Jeff has not been working, he and Lisa have burned through any savings they had. The cost to keep his health insurance active is $1400/month alone and this is in addition to all the normal day-to-day life expenses they have.

Despite all this adversity, Jeff has been able to maintain a positive attitude, although we all know he is too proud to ever show the pain and anxiety he surely is experiencing to the world. And this is why we are reaching out to you!

We have established this “GoFundMe” campaign to raise money for Jeff and Lisa as he fights this fight that he is determined to win. Because of his financial situation, we want to raise funds to help pay for medical expenses and monthly bills. We do this so he can focus on his battle for his physical and mental wellbeing instead of wondering which bills are paid or not paid.

HERE’S THE “BIG” ASK! We are hoping to raise $10,000 or more for Jeff and his Battle with Cancer. Any amount is welcome. If you find yourself unable to help financially, your good thoughts and the power of prayer are greatly appreciated also.

We truly hope you can find it in your heart of hearts to help your fellow classmate anyway you can. In an hour of need, we know the Kickapoo connection we all have is alive and well and will answer the call in the most desperate of times.

We will give updates on Jeff’s progress as they come. God Bless you and yours,
