It is with great sadness that we inform you that a great man Assistant Golf Course Superintendent at Terradyne country club Jeff Williams has passed away August 14th 2018 about 7:21 pm.
Jeff was a great great man, he was a son, brother, friend, father and soon to be expecting father with Nikita his true love.
Jeff was a leader within the team at the maintenance department of his current job. On his first day, he walked into the superintendents office, closed the door and told him that he wanted the assistant’s position at Terradyne. A short time later, he had earned it. As much as Jeff learned from our superintendent about growing turf, we got back tenfold in the example of how he treated others. He meant a lot to the staff. He was the kind of guy that always helped out when someone was in need. Always buying lunch for guys that didn’t have money for food, or giving guys rides to and from work that didn’t have vehicles.
Jeff and his daughter Remi would hang together on the weekends while he was out hand watering and just had a great time and the love for her was so neat to watch.
The mother of his daughter, Nikita, is expecting their second child in the future. We will all miss Jeff but it will pale in comparison to how his family and loved ones will deal with it in the loss of Jeff.
The staff, members, friends and family are setting up this fund for Nikita, his daughter and his child on the way in an effort to help with their future needs. They owned a home together and need all the help we can provide in the future for bills, schooling etc.
This is the very least we can do to try and alleviate at least part of the burden for Nikita and the family to help ease the burden of Jeff’s passing. I encourage all of you to give deeply and generously. This family needs to feel the support of all the golf community, members, friends and extended community for all touched by Jeff in this tough time. The family needs it more than we can imagine.
