Hey folks, those that know me know that I’ve had Crohn’s disease for the better part of 16 years. I was in remission and was pretty healthy for a good 3-4 years, doing lots of exercise and picked up cycling, which is a huge passion of mine.

Unfortunately, I’ve been having a flare up that started mid last year. It was bad enough that it caused me to be hospitalized a few times. I’ve been working with my doctor and hoping to be in remission soon. In the past few months, I got hit with other illnesses including the flu. I'm currently working through what feels like a bout of pneumonia, which has been hanging on me for a good two weeks.

Getting knocked down does have its consequences though. It’s been hard to stay focused and find new work. As such, my income has gone way down. I've blown through my savings. Bills are starting to pile up along with some new medical bills. I’m doing my best to find new work but it’s just not happening fast enough. I’m just looking to fund my current overdue bills, medical bills, and maybe the next month or so of standard living. Hopefully should have new work by then and be back on top of things.

While I can't really pay any of you back, I will make a promise to pay it forward. Whatever funds are raised, once I'm back on top of things, I'll setup payments to a few charities and will continue to contribute the amount I was given and more. I'll post info later about the charities I've chosen.
