Jeff Stein's PTSD Journey
Donation protected
Dear Family and Friends,
As a young Marine Infantryman, I was deployed into battle as a 19 year old and again as a 20 year old. Due to these experiences and encounters, I walked away with an unseeable but just as real wound. PTSD has affected my life in many ways. My marriage with Mikaela has been tumultuous. My friendships have suffered and in some instances dissolved. My dream of being an excellent ICU nurse came to an end prematurely. My redirected dream of becoming a geriatric nurse practitioner didn’t survive the second semester of graduate school. At my lowest point, two attempts on my life were planned and almost completed, if it weren’t for my wife and the care of the Veterans Affairs.
However, I am learning to rely on the providence and love of Christ, the importance of music in my life, and the power of letting people help me. These 30 days of treatment will be transformative for myself, my marriage, my family, and my friendships. I hope to heal my unseen, always present, and all encompassing wound.

Jeff and Mikaela are paying out of pocket for Jeff’s residential program at The Ranch in Tennessee. It is not covered by the Veterans Affairs or medical insurance. We wanted to organize this fund because many people have asked how they can help. Jeff and Mikaela are grateful for your prayers and support. If you would like to assist financially, please see the donation link below to give and consider sharing with others who may be interested in supporting them on this journey.
