Jeff Skinner's Lymphoma treatment
I have heard the saying "It takes a village" and now I get it. I am now asking my village for help. You see, my son Jeff Skinner has been diagnosed with advanced large B cell Diffuse Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma, stage 3 or 4. His tumor is a massive 15 centimeters wrapping around several organs and vessels. Jeff battled Melanoma almost 5 years ago and never missed a day of work except for the day he had his surgery. By God's healing grace he beat the Melanoma. He has worked hard his entire life and is continuing to work even with this horrible cancer attacking his body. The past 5 years have been a struggle for Jeff and our family with the Melanoma and also losing his precious daughter Amanda. Our unending faith in the Lord helped us through the most horrible times of our lives. Because of the changes in insurance policy, for the first time in Jeff's life he doesn't have health insurance. His monthly premiums skyrocketed to $1850.00 per month in December, and being self employed he was unable to afford the payment. He tried to get help through other companies but due to preexisting conditions was not able to. Jeff noticed a lump in his abdomen area in February and was hoping to struggle through until affordable care opened up but unfortunately the tumor was growing rapidly. His medical bills are already in the thousands of dollars with only round one of 6 months of chemotherapy every 3 weeks and then 4 months of radiation treatment. He worries about the bills constantly. I am not sure what impact these treatments will have on his ability to continue to work. My son is a very proud, independent, and wonderful man who has helped many but will not ask for help for himself. But I, as his mother will do anything to try to ease this burden from him. Any financial help large or small will be such a blessing and will help me to help him. Also, please join my family in praying for complete healing. WE KNOW GOD IS SO MUCH BIGGER THAN CANCER!!
