On Wednesday, January 28th, our beloved Jeff Romero passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Jeff was a devoted husband to my mother, a loving father and stepfather, and a kind, steady presence in all of our lives. He faced his illness with quiet strength and grace, never losing his sense of humor or his deep love for his family. In his final moments, he was exactly where he wanted to be—at home, holding hands with the people who loved him most. While we are grateful that Jeff’s passing was peaceful and on his own terms, the sudden reality of funeral and final expenses has placed an unexpected financial burden on our family. Like many families, we did not have specific plans or savings set aside for this moment, and the costs are more than we can manage right now. We are turning to our community, friends, and kind strangers for help in giving Jeff the dignified farewell he deserves—a celebration of his life that honors the man he was and the love he gave us all.
