Jeff Richelieu Memorial Fund

We are creating this Go Fund Me page on behalf of our mom, Robyn Richelieu, in hopes of helping her pick up the pieces after the very unexpected and sudden death of her husband, our father, Jeff Richelieu.

On the morning of November 11th, our beloved dad collapsed while getting ready for the day and passed in the loving arms of our mom. Our dad gained his angel wings way too soon; he had so much more life to live.

As expected, this has been very traumatic and devastating for our family, especially our mom. Our parents were high school sweethearts/best friends since they were 15 years old. – Married for 42 years.

Our parents devoted their lives to raising us and providing us with the best possible life. They recently moved from our childhood home in Yorba Linda to a community called Terramor in Corona where they had met some amazing people and were enjoying the amenities that the community had to offer. This was their time to focus on themselves and do what makes them happy; spending time with family and friends, watching their grandchildren, going on vacations, camping trips and experiencing new adventures together. On a typical day you could find our parents playing pickle ball, gardening, working on a project for their house or relaxing in the backyard, BBQing, sitting by the fire pit enjoying the beautiful view, listening to oldies and having a glass of wine and Jack Daniels while watching a sports game. They loved to host family and friends and play corn hole, ping pong and mini golf in the backyard.

Our dad, Jeff was one of the most amazing people you could ever meet. He would always greet you with a strong, firm handshake, a big bear hug and a big smile that always left an impression on those he met. He was funny and sarcastic and loved to make people laugh with his stories. He was known as a devoted family man, a great friend, a remarkable athlete and MacGyver, as he could fix or build pretty much anything. He had an impressive collection of tools; if you needed something, not only did he have it, but he had at least five of them, and there was a good chance he would send you one. As many of you know, he would give you the shirt off his back and stop at the drop of a hat to help others. He was the strongest man and had an incredible work ethic. He loved his USC and Dodgers. He loved a good cigar and glass of Jack especially when it was raining. – He would sit in the garage and just listen and watch the rain fall and be at peace. He loved coaching kids and was truly passionate about helping mold kids into great athletes. But more than anything, he loved his family and friends. Our mom was his world and the love of his life.

Our mom has gone from having our dad by her side every day for the last 42 + years to him suddenly being gone. Her heart is broken and she is devastated. Our dad passed not only unexpectedly but days before his second granddaughter was born, his birthday and Thanksgiving and weeks before his favorite holiday, Christmas.

Our goal is to raise money to help take some of the stress of present and future financial expenses off our mom’s plate so she can focus on healing.

We are so thankful to all those who have been there for our family during this difficult time. We appreciate all the love and support.
