Jeff Reynolds On the Road to Recovery

Donation protected
In March of 2022, our brother Jeff Reynolds suffered a debilitating stroke. That’s a night no one in our family will ever forget. We got the phone call that Jeff was on life support and not sure how the next 24 hours would go. In the following days, doctors and therapists told us he would probably not walk or speak again and that he would NOT be able to live on his own. They suggested we find an assisted living facility for him. But through God’s miracles, Jeff’s stubbornness and determination, and the hard work put in by Jeff and his amazing therapists, he’s beating the odds and has been successfully living on his own since June.
Unfortunately he still has a lot of work ahead of him and some of the damage is irreversible. Due to this, he is unable to work and his company let him go in May. He has been living off his savings since then. We have applied for disability, but according to them it could take another 6 months before he gets an answer.
Jeff has many amazing friends that have organized a fundraiser for him on November 5th. However, we know with everyone’s busy lives and many friends and family living out of town, some will not be able to attend. Therefore, we have opted to start a gofundme account for those that would like to contribute, but can’t attend the event.
Jeff is a proud man and has always worked hard to take care of his family. It’s humbling to him to ask for help, but the time has come. The funds we receive will be used to pay down the large medical bills and to help cover monthly living expenses until he receives disability.
I am amazed at my brother’s positive attitude during this difficult time in his life. He doesn’t say “I can’t do it, so you do it for me.” He just says, “I can’t do it right now, but I’m working on it!”
Jeff has three goals he’s striving for:
1. Being able to drive
2. Being strong enough to return to the workforce; whatever that job may be
3. Being able to travel on his own so that he can spend more time with his 3 children in Oregon.
Your love & support will help bring Jeff one step closer to reaching these goals. Let’s give him the opportunity to focus on his recovery, while we, his family & friends relieve some of his financial stress.
Thank you & God Bless
