Jeff "Bart" Bartels needs help with med expenses

The week of June 10th I became sick and was informed that I have an infection in my right leg. I received oral antibiotics but a few days later the infection had increased and was up my thigh. I went into the hospital on June 13. I've been there ever since. I've been in fear of losing part of my leg ever since. I was administered IV antibiotics and pain killing drugs. Besides the infection my kidney's started to shut down and I've had to have some dialysis. Thank God they have finally improved and are holding steady. I also developed ulcer's in my stomach that were bleeding and had to have some blood transfusions. Those are now healing. I've been in surgery to clean the infection out of my calf a number of times. The surgeon seems encouraging about every other day that things are healing. I've now got a wound-vac on the gaping wound which is a positive thing. As of today, July 13-30 days since I was admitted, the surgeon is encouraged at it's healing process and it will be checked again in 3 days. So, I'll still be in hospital for who knows how much longer...maybe a week? They then talk about me having to go to a rehab facility. Nothing has been firmly stated though.

So, that's my story so far. Since I've been in the hospital and out of commission for over 30 days I haven't been working. I've received limited income. I'm going to have additional medical expenses from this ordeal. I've had to board my dogs which is quite the expense. My sister and her husband have working at my house trying to get it into ship shape. My sister has been handling my business and that's getting stressful for her.

All of this weighs heavy on my heart. It would lighten my load if I could have some help financially to help pay these unexpected expenses. I would be enormously grateful of anything you can spare.
