Help support Jeff Powell's fight for new lungs

Donation protected

Hi, my name is Sara. I am raising money for the care of my dad, Jeff Powell, who needs a double lung transplant due to Interstitial Lung Disease - ILD / Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis - IPF.

My dad is a loving husband of 38 years, father of 5, grandfather of 6 and great-grandfather of 1. He lives with my mom and special needs brother. He loves God and his family. He has given every ounce of his being into loving, teaching, encouraging and supporting his family. We are not ready to lose him!

As many of you know, my dad is an incredibly hard working, family man who is always on the go. He is always doing something, whether it is working, tinkering in his garage, taking care of his family, offering help to anyone who needs it. And he always has a joke ready!

Dad doesn’t get around much anymore, though. He has been homebound for the last several months because his oxygen needs have been so great. He was diagnosed in November and his lung doctors are shocked at how quickly he has worsened. He is on his third hospital stay and this is his second time in the ICU. The teams are moving as fast as they can to get him approved for the transplant list, which he desperately needs to stay alive.

Every little bit helps! Also any prayers and happy, healing thoughts that could be sent his way are very much appreciated. We would also very much appreciate any financial support you may be able to provide.

We want to thank each and every one who has been there for our family during this time. And thanks to any and every one who has and will help our family during the remainder of this journey.
