The Transcona Regents U13-A3 team is raising funds to support our goofy, fun, and tremendously caring coach and friend, Jeff Pinette, after a serious injury that occurred at East End Arena while he was coaching his son’s hockey team. Jeff suffered multiple fractures to his arm and elbow, requiring reconstructive surgery, which was performed on February 14, 2026. He is now facing a long and challenging rehabilitation period.

Jeff is a dedicated dad to Jayce and Sloane and a huge part of our hockey community. Coaching and playing hockey aren’t just hobbies for Jeff—they’re a true passion and a big part of who he is. Anyone who’s spent time around the rink with him knows how much he cares about the game and the people in it—and the team especially loves his post-game pep talks, which somehow always manage to be equal parts motivating, heartfelt, and unforgettable.

Unfortunately, this injury has taken Jeff off the ice and out of work. As a small business owner/operator, time away from work means no income, and recovery will take time. Regular bills and family expenses don’t stop, even when life suddenly does.

The goal of this fundraiser is to support Jeff and his family so he can focus fully on his rehabilitation, healing properly, and working toward getting back to work—and back on the ice—where he belongs. The funds raised will help cover everyday essentials like rent, bills, groceries, and recovery-related costs during this difficult period.
