Jeff Obrecht Memorial Fund

We are heartbroken to share the passing of Jeff Obrecht, after a courageous but short battle with cancer. Anyone who knew Jeff remembers a gregarious, kind and loving spirit. He easily made friends and always had time to make new friends.

The BC Lions never had such a big fan. Jeff was a season tickets holder and loved cheering his beloved Lions on to victory.

Jeff was pre-deceased by his loving wife, Caryl-Lee, who also passed away from cancer. Jeff’s love of family was well known, and he enjoyed nothing more than organizing family get togethers.

Jeff’s biggest concern was his daughter Brooklyn, who, sadly, is also fighting her own battle with cancer. It is especially cruel that cancer has struck all three of these family members, within three years. Brooklyn continues to fight and is starting a new therapy soon. The family are so appreciative of those who supported her last year.

Jeff was Brooklyn’s primary caregiver and provider as she fights her cancer. His final wish was to see her cared for.

During this difficult time, we want to come together to help support Brooklyn. Losing a loved one is never easy, not to mention both of your parents within two years. The financial burden can add to an already overwhelming emotional pain.

We are asking for your help, no matter the size, to ease this burden and provide Brooklyn with the support she needs. The funds raised will go directly to provide for Brooklyn to help her navigate this difficult time.
