Jeff Needs Our Support in Tough Times

Hi, my name is Jeff. I'm reaching out because I'm going through an incredibly difficult moment.

My wife recently left me, and in the process, our shared bank account was emptied. I didn't see this coming. I was completely blindsided. While I try to remain optimistically hopeful that we'll be able to repair what has been broken, I’m now facing rent, utilities, and day-to-day expenses with zero funds and very little income coming in. For the past five years, I've been able to work from home full-time with my small business, an Oregon-based apparel company, as well as helping my wife with her own small Etsy business. Both had started out amazingly successful, but for the past year or so, both have been floundering. I've tried to put myself back out into the job market to pick up the slack, but so far, zero to no luck even getting a call back. At 57, I imagine I'm not the shiniest penny in the bucket. It's been stressful on both of us. And I guess the stress just got too much for her.

This is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to write. If you know me at all, you know that I'm a very private and proud person. Even putting all of this into words is extremely hard. Terrifying even. I never dreamed I'd ever be in a situation like this. I'm still reeling.

Any family I might have once been able to rely on in an emergency, like my parents or my brother, are gone. I have a half sister who has been sympathetic, but is currently dealing with her own struggles, and not really able to offer more than that.

Now, with no access to our shared funds and no immediate income, I’m asking for help to cover the basics while I regain my footing. Every dollar will go directly toward:

Rent and utilities

Groceries, fuel, and essential bills

Breathing room to find sustainable, stable work

If you know me, you know I’ll keep showing up. I’m not giving up. I just need a bridge to get through this moment.
