In Memory of Jeff Kober

My dear friend Heather’s husband Jeff Kober passed away suddenly and unexpectedly January 29, 2024, leaving behind his loving family in utter disbelief.

Many with high schoolers at The Woodlands High School may recognize Heather - she has worked as an Attendance Assistant there at the front office since 2015. (Right now she’s working with the 10th grade). She is the sweetest person and greatest friend with always a kind word for everyone. She works hard to provide for her family by picking up hours on weekends and school breaks working at Macy’s at the cosmetics counter where she has worked since 2013.

Jeff was a proud US Army Veteran and most recently, the Procurement Materials Managers for Nexus Health. He was the best husband and father anyone could ever hope for and they are obviously completely devastated. Together, Jeff and Heather have raised three amazing children:

Peyton is 23, about to graduate from Texas State University with a degree in Public Health and Nutrition,

Ethan is 22 and US Army Warrant Officer and Helicopter Pilot currently serving our country,

and Britton, a bright, energetic 15 year old with Asperger's. He is super smart and talented with anything computer related, gaming and animation. He aspires to be an animator someday.

Jeff did have a life insurance policy but it won't be quite enough to pay off the house. They are only about $25k short of paying the house off after the insurance payout and I would love to be able to help them raise the balance so Heather can pay the mortgage off and have one less bill to handle on her own.

For anyone who knew them and wants to help or anyone who feels moved to do so, I am creating this GoFundMe page to help with immediate funeral expenses and long-term help for Heather and family as she navigates the waters of going from a two-income household to just one.
