Jeff Harrison is fighting NUT Carcinoma

Jeff Harrison is 43 years old, and lives in Ankeny, Iowa. He grew up in Bettendorf, Iowa, graduated from Pleasant Valley High School 1999, served in the Coast Guard 2002-2006, and graduated from William Penn University 2013. He has three beautiful children ages 14, 11, and 7.

In May 2023, Jeff was diagnosed with NUT Carcinoma. This is an extremely rare and aggressive cancer. There are less than 200 cases diagnosed each year and there is no standard of care or treatment yet. Doctors at the University of Iowa began treating him with a combination of two types of intense chemotherapy and radiation. He had radiation 5 days a week for 7 straight weeks and after 12 rounds of chemo, these treatments were no longer effective and the cancer has come back in force.

A spot in the clinical trials for this specific type of cancer at the Washington University Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis has opened up and Jeff is being evaluated and should begin treatment soon.

The treatment has been so aggressive Jeff has been unable to work since last April, depleting his savings. The purpose of this page is to ask for help for hospital, medical, travel and other expenses. Please help if you can and pass this along to anyone else who could help. Thank you!
