Jeff Hane's Hugo's Care Fund

Hello, my name is Curtis Hane, and my brother Jeff Hane unexpectedly died on April 25th due to a serious cardiac event. Jeff fought bravely on life support for 11 days, but ultimately, he peacefully passed surounded by family and his dearest friends.

 

All who had the pleasure of knowing Jeff were well aware that Jeff was TOTALLY devoted to his dogs. His dogs were indeed his children.

 

First, there was Charlie, who was EVERYTHING to Jeff. In 2021, when Charlie passed, Jeff was utterly broken-hearted. But last summer, like a ray of sunshine, Hugo came charging into Jeff's life, and all was right again.

 

In order to honor Jeff's passing, there is no better way than to consider making a contribution to support the care of Jeff's sweet Hugo. To ensure Hugo has the best care, and is not wanting for anything, his friends came up with the idea to set up a trust fund for Hugo.

 

In the weeks since Jeff's passing, numerous veterinary bills amounting to over $4,000 have accumulated since Hugo needed to be neutered. Additionally, he also got sick and required several visits to the animal hospital where he needed x-rays and lab work. Fortunately, Hugo is now fit as a fiddle.

 

Not surprisingly, many people graciously stepped forward to offer a forever home to Hugo. After extensive interviews conducted by Jeff's closest friends Don & Chris, Hugo has been adopted by a lovely couple who live in Millerton, Jim & Glynda, who plan to dote on Hugo just as Jeff did. Glynda is retired and is looking forward to having Hugo by her side 24/7. Fortunately, this means Hugo gets to stay close to all the folks in Millerton who adore him!

 

Jeff's dear friend of over 35 years, Don, and I, will be overseeing the disbursement of funds from Hugo's trust fund.

 

We hope that Hugo will be making an appearance at Jeff's celebration of life that will be scheduled this summer.
