Jeff Got a Kidney!

Jeff found out a couple years ago that he has a hereditary kidney disease that would leave him with no kidney function, and he'd need a kidney transplant to avoid a life of dialysis. After several hopeful donors were found not to be a match, the husband (Nate) of Jeff's long-time friend from Up with People (April) selflessly donated his kidney to a stranger through the Advanced Donation program. This put Jeff on the National Kidney Registry, where he was matched with a living donor in her late 20s.
On November 5th, Jeff had his surgery and began the long road of recovery.
