Jeff Donahue's Fight Against Throat Cancer

As many of you already know, our family recently received news nobody ever wants to hear: "You have cancer." Jeff, our wonderful husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend, was diagnosed with throat cancer (originating in his tonsils) after an unexpected injury at work revealed a lump on his neck. Thankfully, the cancer was caught early, and Jeff is now receiving excellent care from the team at Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis.

If you know Jeff, you know he's the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back. He's always the first to lend a hand, jump in to help others, and push through any challenge without complaint. He has dedicated countless hours supporting our community, always showing kindness and strength along the way.

Jeff's treatment journey hasn't been easy. Originally planned surgery turned out to be too risky due to the tumor's proximity to critical nerves. Because of this complexity, it became essential for Jeff to receive the absolute best possible care available. That's why he is undergoing intensive chemotherapy and radiation treatments at Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis, known for its exceptional cancer treatment expertise. These critical treatments require daily trips back and forth to St. Louis, making it impossible for Jeff to continue working during this time.

The outpouring of support from friends and family, offering rides, prayers, and encouragement, has been incredible. However, the financial reality of medical bills, daily travel costs, and lost income is hitting hard.

We're setting up this fundraiser to help Jeff and his family during this challenging period, easing some of their financial burden so Jeff can focus entirely on his recovery. This money will be used for living expenses while Jeff is out of work, gas to and from St. Louis every day, food while they are traveling, and the ever growing stack of medical bills.
