On August 19th, Jeff Diltz went home to be with Jesus. For Jeff, heaven is the greatest reward, but this unexpected loss has left his wife Bev and their family completely heartbroken. Jeff was truly a one of a kind man with a passion for helping others.
In addition to coping with his loss, they are sorting through the financial details of the future since Jeff didn’t currently have health insurance or life insurance in place. Jeff and his family have devoted their entire lives to serving others and have always gone to where they felt God was calling them. About 11 months ago God called Jeff & Bev along with their daughter Donia and son “in love” Brett and their 2 children (soon to be 3) to Florida to be a part of a new church plant. In the start up season of any church, people called to it understand that it’s a sacrifice because finances are usually tight. This is a family that I know for a fact over the past 40 years have served churches, ministries and people and they’ve done it without asking or expecting a dime from anyone. I know I’m not the only one that feels like this, but I believe that this is a moment in this family’s life that we as friends and family should step up to love on them and help them like they have loved and helped so many of us!
Their local church family is going to help with funeral expenses, but we can’t stop there. Even though Jeff’s time in this movement was cut short, the family knows that God wants them to carry on Jeff’s legacy here. We want them to be able to keep the Firetruck , the Sidewalk Sunday school truck and all the other resources that Jeff used to reach the community through Fire House Kidz. We plan to help these faithful servants move forward and win souls for the kingdom without financial strain. The money collected will help with the family’s portion of medical expenses, completing their move from Iowa, and all the extra expenses that overwhelm during a difficult time such as this. Jeff’s and the families focus has always been on building Gods Kingdom and not on any earthly possessions. Please help us bless this incredible family.
