On Friday, January 13, 2017, our dear friend Jeff Damon passed away suddenly from sepsis, a complication stemming from an unknown source of infection. He had started a new job and was on a business trip in Baltimore, Maryland, at the time. While on the trip, Jeff suddenly became disoriented and his speech became slurred. His attentive coworkers rushed Jeff to the nearest hospital where he was later transferred to the University of Maryland Shock and Trauma Medical Center. There, he received excellent, compassionate care. Despite their great efforts, however, and only 48 hours after the onset of the symptoms, the Lord called Jeff to his Heavenly home. At the time of his death, Jeff was surrounded by his wife Amy, sons Adam and Nick, brothers Steve and Casey, and friend Allen.
Of course, many expenses occur with such a tragic loss, including travel for the family, hospital expenses, and funeral costs. Due to Jeff’s lifelong medical problems, his ability to obtain life insurance was limited. Jeff will forever be remembered for his incredible servant’s heart. He was always the first to step up to help others out in whatever ways they needed it. His generosity of spirit inspired friends of the Damon Family to start this fund in hopes of easing some of the financial burdens for Amy, Adam and Nick. Thank you for helping in such an impactful way.
