Jeff Bernards Guillain-Barre Story

Guillain-Barre Syndrome is an autoimmune disease where one's immune system attacks the nerves in the body, causing muscle weakness, tingling extremities, and fatigue. Without treatment, it can lead to paralysis.

Dad (Jeff) was hospitalized nearly two weeks ago after these symptoms brought him to the ER. Since then he has been diagnosed with Guillain-Barre Syndrome; he has needed a myriad of tests, medications, and equipment to get him to where he is today: rehabilitation! There are many changes that need to be made to the house, requiring new equipment and a new pace of life.

We are thankful this journey has brought him to rehab in a relatively short period of time, and we are sure that God will provide. He has proven faithful through this time in the hospital and we trust in His goodness to work out the "messy" financial details. 

If you are able and want to assist in the financial costs that come alongside being hospitalized, this will be the most effective place. We realize these are trying financial times, and not everyone can give that might want to - please take care of your own needs and do not feel like you have to give. We trust that God will work everything out but we wanted to give those people who have asked an opportunity to give.
