Jeff Bailey's Medical Fund

Donation protected
Jeff Bailey is a loving husband and father of three children who adore him. He is well loved and
respected by his family and many, many friends. He is the Plant Manager at Max Packaging in Attalla, Al, and has been there since 1981.  He has always been a great friend to many people who has always been quick to help those in need and going through various trials. I know of his desire to help others firsthand. He was there raising donations for my husband and our family
during my husbands battle with cancer. But now Jeff is the one going through a major trial and
is now the one in need of help.

A little over 3 weeks ago, Jeff went to his doctor for a routine visit. His doctor found a lump
under his arm and immediately sent him for tests. The tests showed that Jeff has a rare form of
Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma named Mantle Cell Lymphoma. He has since seen an oncologist in
Birmingham who performed a cat scan that showed the lymphoma to be in other areas of his
body as well as a mass near his stomach. Because Mantle Cell Lymphoma is so rare, Jeff and
his wife Michele, have chosen to go to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX for
treatment. They havd an appointment scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 2. , but it has been changed to Tuesday Jan. 17, because all the records have not been transferred. Although Jeff does havemedical insurance, it will not cover everything. There will be multiple co-pays, deductibles, pharmacy, airline tickets to and from Houston, TX, as well as hotel and meal expenses. Just as
Jeff has been there for others in the past he now needs us to be there for him and his family.
Please forward this to your friends and family and if you are able to donate toward Jeff’s expenses please do so. Even the smallest amount would be a true blessing. But most of all, I ask for your prayer for Jeff, Michele and their family. They attend Reed Memorial Baptist
Church in Attalla and firmly believe in the Power of Prayer. “...The effectual prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16. We serve an Awesome Lord who we know is the “Ultimate Healer.” Faith is not hoping God can, it is knowing he will.
I know first hand the stress of a cancer diagnosis and especially the stress of added expenses
to your family. I wanted to do this in hopes of helping Jeff and Michele in the upcoming months
as they did for my husband and myself during my husbands illness and since. Thank you for
any amount you feel you are able to donate and most of all for your prayers for The Bailey Family.
