Hi, my name is “Sister Sara”. Jeff is my brother in law and he was in a horrible vehicle accident on Sunday, October 16th. I’m starting this go fund me to help ease some of the financial burden this will put on their family. He is currently in ICU at SLU in St. Louis with multiple bone fractures and injuries. Below are the updates his wife Ashley has given so far and I will update as much as possible. Continue to keep Ashley and kids, Adalyn, Hadley, Madden, and Cash in your prayers. Jeff has the biggest heart and will do anything for anyone. He is strong and I know he will pull through with God’s help and be stronger than ever.
UPDATE 3am…. From Ashley
We made it to STL around 9, and he was landing as we were pulling in the parking lot. They reran some tests and the results were mostly the same.
We won’t know the severity of the torn ligament in his neck until tomorrow. He has 4 broken ribs, a very broken finger that will likely require surgery, lacerated spleen, L2 L3 and L4 are broken on the sides in lower back. Which means it’s quite painful, but no damage seems to be done to his spine itself, praise the Lord. They are also still working up a game plan on the pelvis. Likely more tests will be done to see if it’s broken in the back. The blood and air around his lungs are being monitored. They are really trying to get him to take big deep breaths so that he doesn’t get pneumonia.
They were fixing to move him to Trauma ICU and their visiting hours aren’t until 8. So we just got to hotel to catch a few hours of sleep and a shower. We will be back with him bright and early in the morning.
Please continue your prayers. God is hearing him and we feel them. I have had so many people reach out to me, and even my family to extend their thoughts and prayers. It doesn’t go unnoticed.
I’m praying for good news in the morning, I still don’t know much as far as plan of action goes. But I do know, regardless, he’s got a long road ahead of him.
He’s strong, Lord let me be stronger. My heart is aching so bad for him.
