Jeff and his family need our support
Just another nice weekend at their trailer took a turn no one would have imagined.
Jeff is our brother-in-law and we are reaching out for your support during this difficult time Jeff, our sister Bridget, and their family are going through.
If you know Jeff, you know the kind of guy he is. My sister calls him the ‘fixer’. Jeff is a hard worker, he is the guy you call when something is not working, or the guy you call when you need something built and the kind of guy who you could call at 9 o’clock at night with something broken and he would come straight over to fix it for you. He would help anyone who needed it. Now it is our turn to help Jeff!
On July 3rd, 2021, Jeff had a very unfortunate accident and had a fall off the roof while working on his trailer at the campground that he and his family spend many of their weekends at. Jeff was airlifted to London hospital and has been in the Critical Trauma Unit since. Jeff lost feeling of anything below his neck instantaneously.
His exact injuries are still being examined but Jeff did suffer a fracture to his neck, as well as extensive injuries to his spinal cord and spine. It is clear that his road to recovery will be long and difficult. As of now, he has had surgery to hopefully repair the fractures, and a steel rod was inserted to straighten his spine. He will be closely monitored for the time being. Doctors are still examining the injuries, but they are extensive. We are not sure if Jeff will ever walk again, or what his life will look like, but we do know that he will have the love and support of his family and friends. Jeff will need a lot during this time (including a wheelchair, lots of physio therapy, rehabilitation...) but what he needs most is your love, support and prayers.
Jeff is a spouse and a father. Due to this unfortunate accident, their main source of income will be diminished. Jeff is one of the most selfless people I know. Jeff is always helping others any way he can but this time it is Jeff and his family that need help.
If you are seeking some way to help Jeff, please consider donating to this campaign. All funds will go directly to Jeff and his family, his care, his rehabilitation, and to help with the financial strain and stress this will have on their family.
