Hello, my name is Telma and I am raising funds for Jeff Alcorcha’s funeral and any remaining funds will go directly to Jeff’s only daughter, Kayla. Kayla is 21 years old and thriving in her last year of college, she is next of kin.
Jeff and I were high school sweethearts. We have a lot of history together beginning as teenagers in 1981 through adulthood. So many fun memories and as Jeff put it “we raised each other” into adulthood.
On Thursday January 4, 2024, I learned that a welfare check was initiated by Jeff’s employer because he had not shown up for work for a few days. Jeff was found in his home unresponsive.
On Friday, January 5, doctors said Jeff had Covid and suffered several strokes.
By Saturday, January 6, doctors said that Jeff has Stage 4 Colon Cancer and had days or weeks to live. Family and friends began visiting Jeff in the hospital immediately. Cousin Anthony visited him. I feel blessed that when I visited, Jeff was awake and talking while watching an NFL Football game with Aunt Patty, cousins Feliz, Angel, me, and many others by his side.
On Sunday, January 7, Jeff’s medical team kept him comfortable and sedated for pain. Victor, Robert, Lee, and cousin Alex visited him that day.
On Monday, January 8, while still sedated, Jeff was able to breathe on his own. David Bruce, Branch Cotton, Jason Aquino, me, and Aunt Patty, cousins Feliz and Angel were all by his side. I held his hand, massaged his scalp, we all talked to him while watching college football. Although Jeff did not respond to us, we knew he can hear us all reminiscing about our younger days at James Lick Middle School and McAteer High School and through adulthood. I left the hospital at 8:30pm. Jeff passed away at 11:15pm.
Jeff played football at McAteer High School and was the biggest SF 49er fan! Jeff lived life on his terms. Although he did not have a long life, he lived a RICH life, in the sense that his lifestyle, personal satisfaction, and life experiences fulfilled him.
A special thanks to Aunt Patty, cousins Feliz, and Angel for being so strong and dedicated to Jeff’s care and well being and the endless hours you three spent at the hospital everyday.
May God bless Jeff’s soul as he joins his late mother, Maria, his first dog named Chico, cousin Usen, Uncle Dickey, his Grandma and all the Alcorcha’s that passed away before him.
Please keep the Alcorcha family in your prayers, especially Jeff’s daughter Kayla.
If you can please contribute, any amount will help.
Thank you very much! We appreciate it so much!
Sincerely,
