I am Starting this hike on March 3rd 2018, to call attention to the 22 Veterans lost everyday to suicide. I am a veteran that has been effected by the darkness of suicide. I too also have many confusing and dark thoughts. These thoughts and feelings have affected my loved ones. But I am lucky enough to have therapy to help me. Many are not so lucky. Because of this I have decided to hike the Appalachian Trail to bring light, and awareness to the thousands of veterans dealing with depression and PTSD.
I will be starting this journey on March 3rd 2018 from Springer Mt. Georgia. I am hoping that through this hike I will also find the peace in my mind that I am seeking.
Your donation will help me to help other veterans and their families find the peace they deserve. I have been working with the Veterans Administration to help seek others that I may help.
Please help me to help those who have given selflessly to our country, only to come home and deal with depression and PTSD. Let’s please help end the loss of 22 warriors per day.
