We lost our battle. We lost Momma cat June 24, 2025. She had what looked like a seizure so we rushed her to the vet not even 10 minutes away and she had passed away by the time we got there. Her body was just so tired. About a week or so later “little lady” her kitten started to become worse. We ended up losing baby girl on July 19, 2025. We did everything. Everything the vet told us to do everything the vet gave us, all the antibiotics all the steroids but she was not improving. The morning of July 19 we noticed that she was having trouble breathing so we rushed her to an emergency vet. Once we got there they put her in an oxygen chamber and did an ultrasound to see why she was having trouble breathing and they told us her lungs had fluid on them!! The vet started prepping the IV and getting everything ready and her heart rate suddenly dropped drastically and she started going into cardiac arrest and ended up passing away shortly after. I don’t understand why they didn’t get better. I don’t understand why the vet that we were seeing didn’t see this or the medication he gave us wasn’t helping. We spent every penny that we had to try to help our babies we are so devastated and so angry, but I know mama cat and baby girl are now in heaven together and they are no longer in pain or suffering. I feel so selfish because I’m mad that they left. I miss them so much. I feel angry and frustrated that nothing was helping them, I don’t understand why they wouldn’t get better. I miss my beautiful baby girls so much. The vet that we went to agreed to let us pay them the $50 that we had and could pay the bill as we could and it is $500 for everything they did at the emergency vet. We also want to get her cremated so we can bring her back home with her mama and that is $278. We are trying to get help by at least getting her cremated if anyone could help us.
