Hello,

Last week Jedi. Luke's retired service dog, tore his cruciate (the dog's version of our ACL). We have consulted with vets and specialists and have decided that he is a good candidate for TPLO surgery and that it is the best option for him. Aside from this injury he is in great health for an 11 year old, this surgery will allow him to do all the things he loves to do so much in retirement. We have always been diligent with his medical care his entire life, doing whatever it took to make sure he was happy and healthy.

I wish this was not the case but, we are at a point where we need to ask for some help.

Jedi's surgery needs to be done with a specialist with a special team since he has several opioid and pain medication allergies which can make procedures risky IF they are not prepared or equipped with the tools and medications he needs. The surgery center we are going to will have everything he needs to keep him safe so that he can come home to us and recover fully. The surgery will be 3/8 at 8 am. We are nervous but also hopeful that after 6 weeks he will be back to his normal self doing all the things he loves again.
