Help Jedd and Lilly survive Leukemia treatment

Jedd, aged 20 who is my nieces partner and a 2nd year Apprentice plumber, went to the Doctors early September feeling unwell with pain in his ribs, later that night received an urgent phone call to attend the Emergency Department in Mackay Hospital immediately.

Within hours of Jedd’s arrival in Mackay’s Emergency Ward, he was transferred to Townsville and received a diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia and was to commence treatment days later. Townsville being 5 hours away from their home and turning their life completedly upside down.

Jedd, Lilly and our families were heartbroken and shocked to find out the Leukemia had already spread from his bone marrow and lymph nodes to his liver and spleen.

Jedd is now looking at spending 6 to 12 months in Townsville Hospital for treatment in hope to beat his cancer.

My niece Lilly who is 20, was studying Law at Uni, working as a Legal Assistance also had to leave her job in Mackay to relocate to Townsville to support Jedd through his treatment.

Lilly is currently receiving no income and has been struggling to stay afloat and pay her bills as well as feed herself. Her savings have all but run out.
