I have created this Go Fund Me for my nephew Jed Herndon. He is a thoughtful, compassionate, talented, funny, and generous human being. Jed has been a support financially, emotionally, physically, and spiritually for so many around him over the years. Now Jed needs some serious support from all of us.





Jed went from being a healthy, hard-working young man one day, to being unable to feel his feet and hands and to be able to walk without help. He was experiencing numbness in his feet and hands and had trouble with his vision that slowly increased and started spreading to the rest of his body. A trip to the local emergency room brought no answers, only more questions. Jed ended up being hospitalized at UC Davis and went through a slew of intensive tests to try and find out what was going on. After multiple MRIs and a few Spinal taps it was found that he had a severe Vitamin B deficiency that had damaged the nerve cells in his Cervical and Lumbar spine. After he was given a few mega-doses of Vitamin B Jed was feeling like his brain and his body was waking up and the symptoms started to decrease significantly.

Jed was hospitalized at UC Davis for 4 days and the doctors there have said he will be undergoing rehabilitation and recovery treatment for many months to come. With this difficult news also comes the hardship of a financial burden. He will need to continue to have mega-dose injections of Vitamin B and will need to have some physical rehab to help him as he regains feeling and control of his extremities. The cost of staying at UC Davis for 4 days with the clinical expertise and multiple tests is extraordinary. Mind boggling, actually.

All of you know that the Herndon Family has gone through such trauma and grief over the last few years, yet they continue to be incredibly positive and hopeful for better days. They actively spread love and joy and support and encourage everyone around them. This family deserves to be blessed a thousand times over with generous donations and an outpouring of love and encouragement.
