My brother Jean Oates was in a very bad accident on Sunday with his dirt bike..he flipped over the handlebars hit head first then flipped 3 more times where he laid unconscious..he was lifeflighted to Pittsburgh where the trauma found a very big life threatening brain bleed.. They stopped the bleed but his brain was so severely swollen that they had to remove part of his skull to make room for the swelling.. He is in a coma and is fighting so very hard to come back to us.. He has another blood clot on the other side of his brain that his body is absorbing it the way it should.. He has monitors on his brain that are monitoring his brain activity...he wont have a definite answer to if there is any brain damage for a few days..we were told today that we will be here for 6 months.. With Jean being the hard working man he is he was the sole provider for his family, this makes it very hard for his family..watching the man that is the center of our family lay in this bed fighting so extremely hard, some days We dont even kno whats going on. We’re completely lost without him and miss his voice, his jokes, his laughs everything. Hes the heart of our family..without him we would all be lost.. His wife, mom, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, cousins, nephew, neices, dad, grandfathers, grandmothers, and his kids all need him so very much.
Right now there is ABSOLUTELY NO VISITORS due to Jean fighting so hard to keep all his organs working, plus letting his brain and body.heal, now fighting pneumonia we can not take a chance of anyone that is sick, been in contact with anyone to pass anything on to Jean.. We cant take the chance to mess up all the progress he has made so far..
We kno everyone heard abt the accident but no one really heard how severe it is, We just need to confirm to everyone jean didnt just break his leg and had surgery he is not ok and will have a long road ahead for recovery..he is fighting for his life and is still in critical condition..
We want to thank everyone for the continued prayers and now that We let everyone know exactly whats going on, please even if u dont believe in god, even if u never prayed before, bow ur head everyday day and ask god to please heal him so we can all have back the loving, kind, funny, man we all know and love so very much..blow the prayers up please. we are gonna get through this together because Jean knows how we are and now its time for us to be his strength..
Many people are asking how they can help in this time of need. Our family is doing everything we can to be there for Jean and with that being said the only thing at this time we need is a place to stay as we continue this long journey. We have been staying at hotels since the night of the accident which has been very expensive. We could use all the help with the hotel as possible. It is now $45 a night and Jean will be here for Atleast 6 months. We appreciate everyone’s love and support more than you know. Jean has an army behind him ♥️
