Hello, my name is Nadine, and I live in Manchester, UK. I’m fundraising for Jeanne, who lives in Cibitoke Province, Burundi, East Africa. Jeanne is a devoted wife and mother of two, and the eldest daughter of my cousin.

I’ve chosen to support Jeanne because she is in unbearable pain and urgently needs medical help.

Jeanne is currently unable to walk or sit due to severe lower back pain. After a year of misdiagnosis, initially believed to be sciatic nerve pain; she was recently diagnosed with five herniated (slipped) discs. This condition has drastically affected her daily life and her ability to care for her family.

At the moment, Jeanne relies on painkillers that offer little relief and are causing additional harm to her stomach, liver, and digestive system. She needs urgent and effective medical treatment, which unfortunately is not available in Burundi due to limitations in the healthcare system. Traveling abroad is her only hope for recovery and regaining her quality of life.

Due to the low value of the Burundian currency and her long-term sick leave, Jeanne and her husband are unable to afford the costs of treatment. That’s why I’m asking for your support.
